While in Pantin, a town in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, I took a few pictures of the buildings alongside the Canal de l’Ourcq where the industrial era is clearly over but where you can still see the old buildings built fat the beginning of 20th century for the trade of grain and flour.

Magasins Généraux Pantin. Former warehouse complex of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Paris (CCIP) settled on the banks of Canal de l’Ourq in 1929. The buildings were used to store grain and flour. Two warehouses were built on each bank of the canal. One was destroyed by a fire in 1995. The remaining one has been converted to an office buiding for the company BETC.
