Skittles was absolutely amazing today.
He has been an elusive soul since first arriving and we have had the pleasure and privilege to watch him grow.
He has grown to gain trust. Once a scared goat who would not come within 100 meters of anyone he is now edging closer to confidence.. Today Skittles entered a new dimension of his life. First he came up to me (Darren) and physically rubbed his head on my hand. It may sound small but this was of his doing and decision. Then, as volunteer Kaitlyn sat by his enclosue Skittles allowed her to hand feed him and scratch his gentle face. This is what brings emotion to the plate, seeing animals begin to respond to rehabilitation and patience.
Our volunteers help us socialise and rehabilitate all our residents. It is something all have expressed to be a highlight of their days. They too feel the thrill and emotion of an animal so content after so long that trust, touch and love begins to prosper. ❤ ❤ FUREVER FARM - Where the voiceless come to speak ❤
