❤️Our family is super active going lots of places so you can imagine Lila gets lots of looks. I know people who don’t know her story may think she has cancer. But thankfully that’s not the case. (She has Alopecia and Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis which are both autoimmune diseases.) I remind myself in those tough times of worry and fear that what we are dealing with is not life threatening. ❤️It’s been such a growing experience in our faith, deepened our beliefs in inner and outer beauty, and given us a chance to be a positive light with those we encounter despite the adversity. I’ve have been blown away by the generosity of others some complete strangers in how they interact and encourage my girl. I’m am so grateful daily to those around us that speak life to her but in the process speak life,truth, and comfort to me. ❤️Will her hair grow back? It may but she could lose it again. Is there cure? Not yet but huge advancements are being made. Will she wear a wig? We’ve tried some but this girl is more about comfort than looks. ❤️Bottom line is #baldisbeautiful .I see it every time I look in her beautiful eyes and amazing smile.
