40 miles on a bike here in SoCal can take you many places. This week I have time off and today the bike took me to Corona Del Mar for some great views. I was reminded of an anonymous quote about our scars while looking over the rocks. And by scars, I mean the experiences we’ve had that have us scarred mentally or spiritually. Most of us hide those - maybe all of us do. In cycling, we call scars “Red Badges of Courage.” Let’s prayerfully consider letting people know about them this year. It may take courage, but let’s show them. Your friends or even a random stranger may be going through something similar and they just need to know that there’s hope. They just need to know that they are okay, wanted and loved.
