****Keepin It Real for my Sober Brothers & Sisters **** I Am Seventeen Years Today without an alcoholic drink or a drug (RX drugs, illegal substances). 💥
What you put into your addiction is what you get out of it. 🔥
What you put into your recovery is what you get out of it. 🔥
I left my trading floor job in 1999, moved to Florida so I could get high full time, I was pretty serious about my addiction. 💨
In my recovery, I relapsed once after sixteen months and for the next eight years I stayed clean, had spiritual awakenings like the Alcoholic Anonymous Text states would happen when you go through the steps. I still felt like something was missing. I craved to feel... ....daily self-love.... Like FIERCE self-love.... It would show up as sex, codependence, and self-deprecation because of the trauma filter I was looking through. 👀
Everyday I practice self-love....I do the work and put my ALL into it....sometimes it looks messy, it is not always rainbows and unicorns. 🌈 🦄
Everyday I celebrate my wins and connect with people that are succeeding. 🦋
I practice yoga, mindfulness, prayer, and meditation.
I breathe life into myself.
I ask others for help.
I give to others.
I am empowered.
I am unapologetic.
I am unashamed.
I am unstoppable.
My confidence is the result of taking action. 🌟
Simple but not easy. Sobriety is no joke, it is life or death.
