Baby girl has been begging me to let her wear her hair “long” since we always keep it in a protective style. You can’t tell in the picture but she was so excited ❤️

I pray everyday that she grows up loving the skin she’s in. That she will love her wild, kinky, natural hair. I will not hide from her that it’s hard being black in this world. But that will NEVER be a reason for her to love who God has created her to be. Just like He knows I can handle it, I know He knows she can too. I just get the honor and assignment to help cultivate that true identity.
