I’m sitting here with a pup in my lap after a delicious yoga flow feeling so very grateful for where I’m at and how I got here. 💕☀️
F those who tell you that your PASSION is just a hobby and won’t provide for you. That the creative arts are dead and have nothing to offer. For so long, I felt hindered and thought I had to have the perfect resume, score all the interviews, land a job at a $6 billion company and eventually become manager. For so long, I was told you need security. You need stability. You need something with insurance and a 401k. I wasn’t happy. My already soft spoken demeanor was further pushed down into the depths of my belly. I didn’t know what to wear or what to say. I didn’t know what was the right or wrong way to act at networking events and holiday mixers. I forgot what I was working toward.
Today, I’m different. Today, I woke up early and did a quiet meditation then I went to an event with a panel of seriously inspiring women including @sophie.jaffe ❣️and @tarasowlaty , entrepreneurs making their own way and following their PASSION. They told us you don’t have to be perfect. That if this life doesn’t give you sincere JOY, something is wrong. That it’s okay to go out on the weekends and dance until 3am or eat a whole batch of gooey chocolate chip cookies because why the hell not. As long as you follow your heart and your intuition, do whatever calls you.
I’m finally listening. I’m so intune with my passion, my heart, my PURPOSE and I’m succeeding because of it. It feels damn good.
Don’t let yourself be shushed. Pursue something that feels crazy good. Do it for you because you deserve it.
