I honestly thought Circe had changed for the better(after she had been saved by Diana in the Trinity comics), the ending rEALLY shocked me omg, but reading this issue I should have pieced it out during the page where she said that Hecate was the one who granted her her powers.
Well we could think that mayyybe she just wanted power & might probably do good with it ? But... considering how elaborately well planned this was, I kinda doubt so but I guess we’ll never know, not until further issues in JLD.
I also felt pity for Hecate as I was reading this issue, her ending was so sad, because its often so common that we end up becoming those who hurt us, and hurting others as a result, its such an important message for me because I think its important to remind ourselves to nEVER become the person who hurt you & because its the first episode of Elseworld (& FIRST BATWOMAN APPEARANCE BY RUBY🥀!!!), I will quote from @rubyrose what she said in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, “ to be the person that our younger self need.”
