So...the Which Christmas Tree dilemma?
There is an array of alternative designs of Christmas trees on the market but if you prefer the traditional looks and are #eco minded, consider the carbon footprint of
👎plastic trees that have been travelling all the way from China and of which the eco footprint is well over 40kg CO2 as opposed to the natural tree with 3.5 kg CO2 (if properly disposed off)🙄... unless you can keep your same tree for over 20 years to get into credit mode compared
📌A most environmentally friendly choice of Christmas tree is a good quality potted tree that grew in a pot (not field grown/bare roots trees) that you could either plant in the ground or repot after the festive season during which it will be placed near a window, away from radiators and watered regularly. .
📌Alternatively, you could join together cuttings from a mature Picea or Abies to form the nearest of a tree shape. .
📌If you decide to buy a cut tree, make sure it is locally sourced from a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) farms where every tree is thoroughly replaced with another.

📌How you dispose of your tree is of great importance considering that it must not end up producing methane in landfills but instead, chipped and used as mulch in your garden. .

I have saved 3 potted trees over the years left to die in front gardens in January.
One was planted in the church yard in Cardiff and two are still here growing in my #garden #floraandfauna ..
