đ STOP LYING ABOUT YOUR INTAKE đ
As a PT and coach, more often than not, before people start with me, chances are theyâre either going to lie or be in a state of denial when I ask for their current calorie intake
Why? People donât like to believe theyâre the sole reason theyâre carrying too much fat. People like to believe thereâs a sciencey reason to why theyâre overweight. âIâm insulin resistantâ, âI have a slow metabolismâ, âmy body clings on to carbsâ, âMy body type is endomorph, so I naturally store high levels of fatâ. Ok, but even if these were reasons why you were storing too much fat (which they arenât), you still donât gain weight without the surplus calorie intake đ¤ˇđźââď¸

Even if you were an âendomorphâ, insulin resistant, had a slow metabolism and your body clung on to carbs, you still wouldnât be overweight without eating too much for your movement or basic maintenance needs. If you eat too much for what you physically move, you will gain weight. Itâs that simple. Science is our friend, so letâs get off its back đŹ
If you canât exercise or move much for whatever circumstances, find out (or have someone find out) your basic maintenance calories and either eat to them (to maintain your current weight) or eat just below them (to gradually lose weight). Donât buy in to supplements, special diets, stomach wraps or corsets (???), just eat a little less đ¤
