“I was originally born in Nashville Tennessee and that was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. With United States Air Force, I also spent some time station in Little Rock Arkansas.
My initial response to the diversity here at Oregon State was complete shock! Oregon State was the first time in my life that was constantly the only person of color in a room—that included the classroom, restaurants, parties, and even the gym. The experience as a person of color here at this predominantly white University has been exhausted.

The activity of making clothing as a form of expression started out as a cathartic outlet. Up until that point, I had a hard time finding an outlet in having to deal with the lack of the diversity here at Oregon State. My goal was to create content that was provocative, but not disrespectful as it related to creating social awareness through fashion. Fellow students of color began to take notice and brand took off on its own— it became something bigger than me.
The goal of the clothing brand is to create awareness, generate conversation, and provide opportunities for people to analyze the conscious behavior as a relates to discrimination, inequality, and race.”
