Drone laws now prohibit anyone from flying anywhere near downtown. It’s actually hard to find anywhere in Vancouver and the surrounding area to legally fly a drone. Now, I’m not staying that’s it’s not for good reason. These laws are in place to keep everyone safe. There’s tons of aircraft in the air around Vancouver. Lots of helicopter and sea plane tours etc.

Back in my days...(👵🏼) it was the Wild West for drone pilots! There weren’t any laws in place yet as recreational drones were a relatively new thing. Now I’ll just have to go further from cities, airports, people, buildings...provincial parks etc. And that’s ok. I’ll just have to go further into the wild to fly!
