The biggest problem with the 9-5 job. The boss creates the environment and the negativity often stems from the boss. The boss became the boss because he has worked for the company for so many years. He’s tired and sick of his job at this point. His former boss was the same way. Because his former boss treated his employees like crap he feels that he should treat his employees the same way. He does not recognize his mistakes and instead he puts the blame on others. That’s what his boss did to him, so why should he treat his employees any better. This is because he is not a leader. He is following the example of his former boss because he can not think for himself. He is in this job for the money and only the money. He does not want to be the boss for any other reason other than the paycheck. He is not meant to lead so he copies. Personally I believe you are either born with leadership qualities or you are not. Leadership skills are often first seen in childhood and develop more over time. If we employed leaders instead of bosses, we would have better work environments and happier employees.
