Honestly what is it with the musicals this year? I for one couldn’t seem to have the faintest clue as to whether The Lion King or Mamma Mia musical production should take the no 1 TOP spot in 2018 because they were both equally deserving of all the plaudits and recognition for its script, production, dialogue, feel good vibes, entertainment, light hearted fun, and of course not forgetting its exceptionally sunny, cheerful, uplifting, impressive and outstanding tunes, arrangement, performances and vocals. Never did i EVER once regret NOT giving both of these musicals another round of viewing shot because they were definitely the ones worth catching not once, or twice but THRICE!!! I am not gonna lie folks but there is just something about musicals that truly defines and makes up 2018 and this is clearly one of them out there!! Almost every single one of them ABBA vintage and golden classic musical numbers was covered and performed with much zeal, enthusiasm and conviction that evoked a mixture of emotions and feelings from the audience ranging from laughing, grooving, dancing, smiling, crying and even spontaneous singing especially with the likes of Dancing Queen, Knowing me knowing you, The Winner takes it all, The name of the game, Chiquitita, Gimme gimme gimme, Thank you for the music, I have a dream, Super Trouper, Waterloo and of course the musical title itself Mamma Mia!!!
