I hope you see the light in me. I took the losses and turned them into bravery. It hurt to breathe light into my lungs and I screamed and cried and shook until it came naturally.
I hope you know you’re whole. I took the love that never was and used the cracks to shape and build myself which is so much more than your stifling and expected mediocrity. I hope you see your worth. I took the shame and secret and lies, I burned them and used the light to remember and reclaim my soul and my dignity. I hope you know that home is an emotion. It’s not a place they can ever again take from me.
I listened to my losses until I befriended and danced with the dark ghost of me.
