Healing is not linear.
If you’ve ever experienced a health challenge, whether it was chronic disease, pain, weight struggles, inflammation, skin problems, or any other named or unnamed condition - I am speaking to you.
Finding the root cause of these issues is critical to resolving them, but even root cause medicine is not magic.
You body has been subjected to years of physical stress, emotional stress, and toxicity.
So even when you finally discover the reasons for poor health, the resolution of those problems will take time.
You didn’t go to sleep healthy one night and wake up sick the next morning.
These issues build slowly over time.
I am not telling you this so that you give up, I am telling you this to give you power.
When you have a flare up, or things feel worse for a little while…
Keep your joy, your self-love, and KEEP GOING.
Your body is doing the best it can with what it has in each moment.
Stopping when things get hard or aren’t changing as quickly as you’d like will not help you heal any faster.
When I have a flare I tell myself - this is temporary, I am healing, my body is amazing.
And even in the worst times, I’m grateful to have handsome dog dad around to keep me laughing.
