Healing is not linear. ⁣

If you’ve ever experienced a health challenge, whether it was chronic disease, pain, weight struggles, inflammation, skin problems, or any other named or unnamed condition - I am speaking to you.⁣

Finding the root cause of these issues is critical to resolving them, but even root cause medicine is not magic.⁣
⁣
You body has been subjected to years of physical stress, emotional stress, and toxicity.⁣
⁣
So even when you finally discover the reasons for poor health, the resolution of those problems will take time.⁣
⁣
You didn’t go to sleep healthy one night and wake up sick the next morning.⁣
⁣
These issues build slowly over time. ⁣
⁣
I am not telling you this so that you give up, I am telling you this to give you power. ⁣
⁣
When you have a flare up, or things feel worse for a little while…⁣
⁣
Keep your joy, your self-love, and KEEP GOING. ⁣
⁣
Your body is doing the best it can with what it has in each moment. ⁣
⁣
Stopping when things get hard or aren’t changing as quickly as you’d like will not help you heal any faster. ⁣
⁣
When I have a flare I tell myself - this is temporary, I am healing, my body is amazing.⁣
⁣
And even in the worst times, I’m grateful to have handsome dog dad around to keep me laughing. ⁣

How do you keep going when health setbacks happen?
