This Battle of the Somme Bugle was played at Inverness Cathedral tonight in honour of the WW1 100 year remembrance service, by the original player’s descendent. Proud of my husband @malaclete for playing The Reveille, The Last Post and The Rouse. Paul’s Great Uncle Arthur Wilson, who served with the Tyneside Scottish in the Battle of the Somme, was shot 4th July 1916, survived and went on to live a full life. It was an honour to listen to it being played in the Cathedral and I know Paul feels humbled to having been asked to play it.
