Made it back. My house still stands. Only a couple people weren’t spared in my neighborhood so we are very lucky. Fortunately we take our brush clearance very seriously and the flames were stopped by a wide and long defendable area of clear ground.
Big thanks to the firefighters even though they were in higher risk areas when the fire came through my backyard.
We are still under red flag warning and winds are predicted to return, so this isn’t over yet, but so far so good.
Big thanks to my neighbors that stuck around and gave updates and helped to put out small fires that may have started a dominoes of houses burning. Thanks to all the comments, offered of help and places to stay, and well wishers.
