| H O N O U R | yourself. In a world that is constantly changing and expects you to fit into their terms, their way of being...it is not who YOU are.
.
It really does not make sense in school. We are conditioned to be like everyone else, to act the same way, have the same sort of interests, values, attitudes and do whatever it takes to fit in...but you completely lose yourself. .
I’m not saying it’s ok to ever hurt, be cruel or hateful, but if you ever are, just dust yourself off and be the person you wish to be.
.
You would do the same with the size clothes you would consider for you to be comfortable and healthy to fit into, not the one society dictates you should be in.
.
I’m talking about in the last year of school all of a sudden to prepare you for the workforce they tell you to be yourself, but you’ve spent so long being someone else, a mask for every situation you don’t know who YOU are anymore.
.
No wonder people go to travel to find themselves again, but all you need to really do is ask yourself; what do YOU like, what do YOU believe in, what are YOUR values and attitudes and then start to be the person who you wish to be...
.
Sometimes when you rock the boat in your circle and stand up for things you believe in, there are some that will be thrown overboard and they will no longer support you, but do not fret because those people were not meant for who you really are anyway.
.
Fitting in does not make you feel fulfilled, it’s an empty feeling that leaves you craving for connection and can eventually have you feeling alone and depressed even though you are surrounded by people. .
Be your true you, and even if you have to be on your own for some time before you find the people you truly connect with, the only way that’s going to happen is if you allow yourself to show up, as you.
