In reflection of the political climate that has been inundating the US these past few months, I think this message is incredibly important:

I’d like to remind you to stand tall.
To be you.
To be unapologetically you.
To share your truth.
To remember it is your right to be who you are.
You are the only you this world will ever meet.
And you are capable of anything.

Break free from the limitations you have set for yourself.
Shine brightly.
Have self-respect.
Be the you who is unafraid.
Be the you who is bold.
Who is creative.
Who takes risks and makes mistakes.
And learns from them.
Who believes that anything is possible.
Tell any anxieties to take a hike.
Find the fire that is within you,
And learn from it.
Harness it,
And let yourself shine.

We are all inherently good.
We are all capable of love.
We are all cut from the same cloth,
Made from the same stars,
Raised under the same sun,
On the same earth,
At the same time,
Sharing this existence,
Together.

Be the best you,
And then, maybe, we can be the best “us.”
