Healthy Vegetable Manchurian with Gravy · ⠀

6 tbsp, Ketchup ·⠀
8 tsp, Garlic Hot Chili Sauce · ⠀
10 clove (3 g), Garlic Clove · ⠀
1 Cup, Chopped, (Red) · ⠀
1 cup, pieces or slices, Mushrooms, white, raw ·⠀
0.75 cup, Wheat flour, whole-grain · ⠀
6 tablespoon, Soy Sauce · ⠀
3 tbsp, Oil - Vegetable, canola · ⠀
2 tsp, Ginger · ⠀
3 small green chilies · ⠀
1 bunch of Spring Onion · ⠀
1 tsp, Black Pepper - Ground · ⠀
5 cup, chopped, Cabbage, raw · ⠀
1.50 cup grated, Carrots, raw · ⠀
5 tbsp(s), Arrowroot Powder · ⠀
1 cup chopped (149 g), Peppers, Red · ⠀
1.50 Tbsp Sesame Seed Oil · ⠀
1 Cup, All-purpose, Wheat ⠀

Using a food processor pulse cabbage, carrots, red pepper, mushrooms into fine pieces. Place a small handful of the veggies on the side for the gravy. In a large bowl add the remaining pulsed veggies, salt, all-purpose flour, whole grain flour, and 2 tb of arrowroot powder. Knead the dough till it comes all together. Note you should not need to add any water. Once the dough is ready roll into small balls. This mixture made 40 balls.⠀

Heat a frying pan and add canola oil. Add half of the Manchurian balls and pan fry. Once you have achieved a nice golden crisp on the outside of the balls place them in the oven for 30 mins at 450 degrees. Manchurian is usually deep fried, I wanted to make a healthy version by pan frying then baking them.⠀

In a large wok add sesame seed oil and sauté garlic and ginger. After 2 mins add the pulsed veggies and cook for a minute. Then add all your sauces soy sauce, ketchup, and hot sauce. The remaining 2 tb of Arrowroot powder mix it with ½ cup of water and add to the wok. You will notice the sauce will thicken really quickly. Add another 1-2 cups of water depending on how much gravy you desire. ⠀

Add your choice of seasonings, I added garlic powder, salt, black pepper and red pepper. Add the Manchurian balls into the gravy, garnish with green spring onions and serve hot.⠀
