Lot of people told me “Your guys are not running enough”. Partially true, out of 6 days of training a week we run 3/4 sessions but those days are no joke. We run every single session with a clear goal, with a purpose and with a precise estimation of which times we are supposed to run based on a difficulty coefficient that takes account of phase of the season and PB of each athlete.

Today’s session was an Extensive Tempo Run with an overall volume of 2000m. What in @altis is pretty often shown as 1112 1121 1211 2111 (where 1 stands for 100m, 2 for 200m and so on) has been changed and modified throughout my personal experience with other types of athletes, level, characteristics and predisposition to basically suffer.

Focus was to put into practice the work done Saturday on the treadmill, trying to control that gradual switch from a correct running posture to a posterior-cycle posture under fatigue. . Good shapes are achieved, it’s now time to fix and store them into the system. Final 300 was run in 45”, a positive signal that says it is time to move to next stage. .
