Early morning waking can feel like a big inconvenience. You kind of think...geez can’t I get another hour. But we have choices in how we think about this. We can either ruminate over how long the day will be, how difficult the 3pm slump will feel or how much caffeine we can get in. Or...we can appreciate the morning, check out the sunset and spend some time watching tv, journaling or even meditating and just cope with the day as it comes. Our mind can be a tricky thing and we often need to work hard to keep it helpful and balanced. But we do have choices which is reassuring to know.
