✨ALL ABOUT CLEANSING CRYSTALS✨
I like my cleansing schedule to correspond with the moon cycles. During new moons, my crystals are set out upon my windowsill to be cleansed and released of the energies they’ve accumulated. Upon the full moon, I set my stones out to be charged with certain intentions in the luminous light of La Luna. **warning** some stones will FADE in sunlight (amethyst!!! I’m talking about you 👀) so DO remove them promptly from the window or outside when you awake so as to preserve their pigmentation.
Other methods of cleansing come in handy for when you acquire a new stone. I removed my stones from their pink Himalayan salt •slide 2• environment to demonstrate the most appropriate way (in my opinion!) to rid them of any and all energies they’ve accumulated before your possession. •slide 3• Tumbled and polished rocks are relatively safe to wash with soap and water. •slide 4• Raw rocks (tourmalines, fossils, multi-faceted rocks like amethyst or aragonite, soft stones like selenite, etc) should not be immersed in water. These can be cleansed in the smoke of incense or waved with a cleansing stone (selenite! Where ya @? 👀). While you handle your stones, recite an incantation! For example, “By the power of my will, the Divine God and Goddess, and this [soap or essential oil (but beware!!! These solvents may degrade the polish!) or stone or incense], this stone is cleansed and rid of any energies that came into contact with it before this moment. It is consecrated to the highest good with the purest intention. So mote it be.” I hope this helps someone in their magical endeavors 🖤🕯
