Knysna, South Africa. We visited the Siphuncedo pre-school in Knysna, which is located in White Location, or Wit Lokasie. Our guide Peggy Dlephu has a soup kitchen that feeads about 95 children twice a week, and assists Siphuncedo preschool. Importantly, last year’s Cape Storm (2017) caused fires that swept through the town of Knysna and surrounding areas in the days after the storm. The fires killed seven people and displaced around 10.000 with around 600 structures in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay being destroyed. At this moment, Knysna is rising from the ashes and being rebuild.
