Decided on Friday morning that I was going to drive 5 hours to compete in Ohio’s Strongest Man and Woman today with the crew, and I am so glad I did! Because of all of the lifters today, $2,250 was raised for Relentless Detroit Foundation, which a non-profit organization that financially and spiritually helps families of children battling life threatening and terminal illnesses! Helping with bills, custom vehicles to transport the children etc. Benefiting a great cause, with the best of company, made for an awesome competition day! There’s no one else I’d rather freeze my butt off all day with! Thank you to the BSS crew at @BSS_fitness for putting the whole thing together! So glad to be a part of it.

200lb frame/150lb sandbag, first time doing these implements. Placed 1st.
100lb log clean and press for reps in 60 seconds. Placed first.
Max car deadlift, 345lb/435/480 and failed the 525, but still redemption from Nationals! Placed 2nd.
300lb yoke, redemption from last week! Placed 3rd, I think!
And stones, did 150 and 175 in warm up. The next jump was 200, which would have been a PR so tried that for my first attempt with a big “not today”! After a battle again, I walked away with 2nd overall, behind the 2018 National and World champ (for the second weekend in a row 😂). The whole crew qualifying for 2018 Nationals!
