Guatemala we are ready for an adventure! We have arrived and made our way to our Airbnb! This place is a new experience for sure. I have always traveled to Spanish speaking countries with a translator near by. Now I am the translator. As we navigate our way through the transit, activating a SIM card for data, the bank and dinner, I’m forced to get out of my comfort zone and speak Spanish as best as I can. I can understand Spanish but have always struggled speaking perfect rather then trying at all. I have given that up and just starting with what I now! I am a recovering perfectionist for sure. It’s better to try and fail then to never try at all. Best part is we are doing good, getting by and learning more and more Spanish by the hour. Thanks high school Spanish for sticking in my head all these years! Excited to see this volcano tomorrow when it’s a little clearer outside.
