So many in our communities are suffering from exclusion, loneliness, neglect, fear, isolation. Who are the people in our world who are desperately trying to hold on to life alone? The single person, the widow, the elders, the teenager, the homebound, the abused spouse, a parent whose spouse works away from home, the mentally ill, the children of addicted parents, the addicts... It is our job as Christians to reach out for each other when we are in need, and to reach out to those who are alone. God is with us where two or three are gathered.
