I didn’t have galvanized finish nails, so here is my plan B for hanging an exterior door. Carful! DO NOT RIP THE WEATHER STRIP!!!!

Hanging exterior doors are a completely different animal than interior. A co-worker recently convinced me that it’s better to leave the panel on and ask for help putting your shims in. I level the bottom of the jamb, the plumb the hinge side. Then I shut my laser off and do the rest of my shimming based on reveal and operation of the door. •
