Yesterday marked two years since we moved back to Union. A year ago, we began major renovations and after adding central air conditioning, replacing the roof, adding white vinyl fencing all around the property, gutting 2 bathrooms, the kitchen, Marcelo’s room and creating a beautiful studio loft in the attic, I can say our last phase for the interior is now complete: the basement! As you can see from the before photos, it was dark, gloomy and uninviting, to say the least. We now have a laundry room, guest bedroom, and a large, bright hangout room complete with 8’ pool table ($200 steal via FB marketplace!), 55” 4K ultra HD flat screen tv, 2 storage rooms and a new bathroom. We even have a candy dispenser, a closet full of board games, and dart boards. It feels great to finally live in a beautiful space that I got to design to my specifications. Of course, while the interior is finally finished, we still have the outside to do: siding, front porch, back deck, pavers, fire pit, etc. Time to save up but in the meantime, we get to enjoy our beautiful home with family and friends. Let the indoor parties begin! 🎱 🎯 🍹 💕
