D Day 75th Anniversary

As I’m sure many of you know, yesterday marked the 75th Anniversary of the D Day landing. This is something I feel is important to keep teaching our children about.

Last year we were lucky enough to visit Castletown in Weymouth a little seaside town, that was a base from which British, Canadian and American soldiers sailed to France from on D Day. They have a brilliant and very interactive museum there, that Dylan absolutely loved and found fascinating.

So yesterday I shared the photos from our trip and we spoke about what we remembered and then I showed him some clips from @cbbc #newsround (which are fab). We spoke about how important it is to remember all the soldiers and pay our respects, as so many of them died to make sure we lived in a world free of war.

This was yesterday, it was lovely and well today has just been one of those days...Rudi has been as good as gold but I have not stopped and I’m bloody shattered. Oh also I dropped my phone in Rudis bath trying to FaceTime his nan & grandad, somehow it’s still alive! But Jamies working late so I just treated myself to a massive curry to get some energy (it’s done the opposite🙈) before I finish doing the washing and getting myself and everyone else’s things ready for our holiday(that is until love island starts!) Booking a Last minute holiday can be a little stressful getting ready for it but nothing a next day delivery from ASOS and a couple of late nights can’t fix! I’m not complaining as I will be in my favourite place, Ibiza tomorrow with my beautiful little family and I cannot wait!!! 💕
