Sit on the floor.
With your left knee bent, cross your right foot over your left thigh. 
Try to ground your right foot as you pull your right knee toward your left shoulder. 
Sit up tall and hold this position for 1 min, then add spinal rotation to your right. 
Repeat on left side. 
Stretching before bed will help you sleep better. Adding spinal rotation will help to prevent a tight lower back after “Leg Day”.

The picture on the left was taken 6 months after I got my first set of implants, and one week before I placed first at the NPC Fitness Nationals where I earned my IFBB Professional Fitness status. Not only did I win my class, but I received a unanimous first place in the physique round. 
One month prior to nationals, I tore my hamstring on stage while performing my fitness routine, so I decided to take a year off as I prepared for my professional debut.  Little did I know, competing on the “big stage“would never happen. Every time I would try to come back, I would suffer another injury: dislocated shoulder, surgery for torn rotator cuff (& not on the same shoulder), compartment syndrome in my forearms, a displaced rib, chronic elbow tendinitis, and severely restricted range of motion in my spine and hips. 
The second picture is me seven years later after two sets of implants (and a third surgery to have the second pair removed). if you have implants and “random“ or “unrelated” injuries; you are not crazy, the symptoms are real and so is your pain. 
My 1- year anniversary from my last surgery is right around the corner, and I’m finally able to do walking lunges! Who would’ve thought that was exciting?!

Ingredients
2 cups Whole Almonds
1 cup Monk Fruit
½ cup Water
1 tbsp Cinnamon
½ tsp Cayenne Pepper

Instructions
Place water, Monk Fruit and spices in a non-stick pot over medium heat.  Bring to a boil (stirring occasionally).
Turn to a low heat and pour almonds into pot and cook for another 15 minutes.  Once the liquid reduces, place almonds on wax/parchment paper and amply cover with “syrup”.
Spread almonds apart with fork and cool for at least 15 minutes.

“Personal Pizza Crust” from The Happy Hour Diet Cookbook for the Low-Carb/Keto and IF lifestyle

Ingredients

1 medium Head Cauliflower
1 medium Egg
½ cup Mozzarella Cheese shredded
¼ cup Romano Cheese shredded
½ tsp Black Pepper
½ tsp Oregano
½ tsp Sea Salt
1 tbsp EVOO, garlic-infused (preferably)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a food processor pulse the cauliflower florets; it should be evenly chopped but not completely pulverized. (Skip this step if you use cauliflower rice). Transfer chopped cauliflower to a microwave-safe dish and microwave on high for 8 minutes, until cooked. Place the chopped cauliflower in a tea towel and twist it to squeeze as much moisture as you can. This is very important. The cauliflower needs to be dry, otherwise you’ll end up with mushy dough.

Place the cauliflower in a mixing bowl; add egg, 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup Romano cheese, oregano, salt and pepper and mix well. Divide cauliflower-crust mixture into two small stove-top skillets, flatten with fingers and cook on low for 15 minutes or until golden.  Carefully flip and brush each personal pizza with the garlic infused olive oil, then cook on low for just one more minute.

Scatter remaining mozzarella cheese evenly over the pizza base and place to the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
