S I M P L E - To anyone starting or thinking of staring a healthy lifestyle I always say the same thing to everyone! Keep it Simple! When it comes to diet and exercise keep them both easy enough to make and easy enough to follow.
When your first starting off you can start to feel overwhelmed so commit to a exercise routine 3 times a week, or eating more veggies and drinking lots of water. 
Keep meals easy to make this way you donโ€™t feel pressure when itโ€™s time to eat. Make things on the weekend that are easy to grab and go like hard boiled eggs, roasted veggies or salads.
I love sharing tips with challengers and meal ideas that I find have worked for me. 
If you are thinking of starting I say start with one small change to your diet like swapping out juice and pop for water this week. One small change and then run with it.

Enjoy your Saturday X O X OSo I wasnโ€™t going to post anything today because well to be honest I wasnโ€™t having my best day mentally. Today is known for transformation Tuesday and I wanted to share my transformation pic but then my mind started playing tricks on me.
Now I just got this notification on my watch! 100 days of completing over 30 mins of exercise, 100 days of consistency, 100 days of closing my move ring which means burning 550 calories or more and 100 days of standing for 12 hrs a day. This is 100 days of being committed to my new journey with Beachbody and then becoming a coach. 
Now you may think this is silly but to me this is a huge accomplishment. A transformation to achieving goals. I thank the accountability groups I joined and the ones I run. All my challengers are so motivating and I show up every day for them, for myself for each other.  We are a team and we support each other daily good, bad, wins and loses. Nothing changes unless you make a change. I am so glad I made a change and decided to do take this path with Beachbody. This accomplishment made me see the good today. Thank you to everyone who follows me on this journey and supports me. Thank you to my challengers in my group. Letโ€™s see if I can rock another 100 days ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸฝI like who Iโ€™m becoming, make sure you like who you are becoming. 
Sometimes coming out of your comfort zone is a good thing. It has been difficult for me but Iโ€™m starting to realize that change is needed,  I needed to change in order to grow. 
If you arenโ€™t your best version of yourself then itโ€™s time to make some changes. Commit to making changes, Create some goals and LOVE who you will become.  What are you waiting for there will never be the perfect time! Start liking the person you are becoming and then turn it into LOVE ๐Ÿ’•

Let me give ya an example... itโ€™s Sunday morning and you wake up to realize your weekend is over. You know you now have SO much to do to get you ready for the week... laundry, meal plan, make a schedule. And you instantly feel the anxiety creeping in.
.
I used to be this person. Right now bc of #covid19 Iโ€™m working from home and not sure when I am going back. But I still plan my weeks on the weekend. I make it as simple as possible.
.
Choose the meals we want to have first. Pick ones that will leave some leftovers. Go for groceries. Prep some salads so you have a grab and go meal throughout week. And WRITE OUT a plan for the week. When will I do workouts, when are kids activities, etc. Having this organization REALLY helps.
.
But what also helps me is my accountability group. We share meal ideas. Share motivating quotes. Check in to make sure everyone is sticking to their goals. It would be so easy to quit or let my inner mean girl rule my life if it was just me, but when I have a team, a community, I want to stand strong and stay on track for all of them too.
.

I stopped doing doubles I was doing to keep the COVID crazies at bay. So Iโ€™m working out around 30 minutes a day. โฃ

I switched up my nutrition to something with even more flexibility thatโ€™s easier to do while traveling or ordering takeout. โฃ

This little baby of mine is growing so fast. His first newborn pajamas and first newborn size diapers were too big on him. Now he wears a 6-9m comfortably (and size 3 diapers). 

This is a time I can only describe as 1 giant birth & 100 tiny deaths: 1 giant joy & 100 hundred tiny griefs. 

So much joy to have a beautiful, happy, healthy, loving baby. It is a gift far greater than any I had dreamed. 

Yet there is the grief that there are no mommy- baby groups, the in-person community support that we had looked forward to there for a few weeks and then gone with corona. His first few months and milestones shaded with memories of pain and struggle in my mind. 

These days, we hear a lot of people minimizing otherโ€™s suffering. but the thing that I love about our faith is that it allows us to wade through our suffering & grief.  It is not a game of comparison. We donโ€™t say โ€œyour suffering is nothing like the suffering of Jesus on the cross, be grateful.โ€ We say โ€œin this suffering you are united to Jesus on the cross; through this suffering, you will be raised up.โ€ 

When I had my c-section, they lay me out on the table, arms out, and the only image I could see was my body in the shape of Jesus body on the cross. โ€œThis is my body, given up for you,โ€ I thought to my son. 

After the many complications, when I finally returned to church, still in pain, my mind still foggy from painkillers, I could not take my eyes off the crucifix. I could not stop praying that the Lord would take me down from this cross, that this suffering could be over, that I could just attend to my baby.  I heard his voice gently reminding me of the words prayed over me as I awaited my second emergency surgery: โ€Let us commend our sister Elizabeth to the grace and power of Christ, that he may save her and raise her up.โ€ 

Those words spoke comfort to my heart.  I could not know when the suffering would end, but I knew that just as Christ died on the cross and rose, so too this suffering would end and give way to joy. 

If you are suffering today, friend, know that it will come to an end.  We cannot know when this pandemic will be over, but we know that it will end and give way to joy.Donโ€™t let anyone dull your shine! Make sure you always sparkle like the Diamond ๐Ÿ’ you are now, in order to appreciate the Diamond you are becoming.
This is where I failed so many times, the rush to the finish line and never celebrating the wins along the way and appreciating how far I was coming along. I tell everyone to celebrate the small victories and celebrate the big ones. If you worked out two days this week and took out pop from your diet for the first time In years then thatโ€™s a win! Then every week build off of that. 
Learn, grow and move forward.  You are a work in progress donโ€™t underestimate the process to achieving a goal and the time it takes, it requires consistency, prioritization and dedication.โค๏ธ

Often when people ask me the question โ€˜how did I recover from a c section?โ€™ They are extremely surprised by how positive I am about my experience & how I gained my strength & physique back quickly. This doesnโ€™t mean I didnโ€™t have to work at it. Every day I had to do something towards it, but I know in life that itโ€™s what you put in which leads to what you get out ๐Ÿ˜‰.
