Waking up tomorrow, chronicles my struggles against anxiety disorder and depression, it’s a no holds barred account of how I have coped with anxiety related issues over the years and the methods I adopt to continue to move forward day after day. 
I share my analysis on what I perceive to help readers progress more positively with their lives and what I also found does not help and can be counterproductive.

I let the reader into my journey hopefully drawing parallels with their own, offering logical solutions in a world of psychobabble and overload when trying to find some peace from this often crippling disorder

I would describe this book as easy to read and understand moving away from the often wordy narrative of the more tradition self help books that are penned by psychologists and the like.

My ultimate aim for this work is for the reader to understand that there is a very simple solution hiding in a very complex issue, and it’s the peruser job to with my help to uncover this, own it and make it there own.It’s Maternal Mental Health Week, and a great time to acknowledge the “Motherload” of stressors modern day mamas are facing. Food is one of most important parts in healing. It is one of the structures to build your recovery around. If you’re denying yourself healthy vibrant food it’s a big disadvantage to start the healing process. ⁣

There were many times in my 10 years battling chronic illness that I just couldn’t deal with life and food was one of the things that I leaned into. I ate unhealthy food because it helped me cope with my immense suffering. Until you’re put into that spot where life is not something you can cope with, it’s almost impossible to understand. I don’t judge others who eat unhealthy, why would I? We are all on our own journey and here to learn different life lessons. No one has a ‘smooth’ easy lesson from life.⁣

There will be a time when you’re starting to feel like you can cope better without the vice of unhealthy food. A time when other structures are put in place such as emotional safety or a connection to a soul mate. When that happens please go gentle and listen but don’t go crazy and put the body into survival mode. When we start eating healthy the body purges emotions, toxins and energy with it. This is very hard and should be done in a balanced holistic way so you can manage it. ⁣

When you get a call from the police department... it’s usually not good news.
My mind went to worse case scenarios.
But, thankfully this was a call of resource sharing and help. In 20 minutes I had a ton of new resources and support. #I highly encourage all residents if Fairfield to support this essential service and share it with all that may need it.

Relax and scan the body for any areas where the body might be holding onto stress.
- Sit or lie comfortably, close your eyes.
- Take a few deep breaths, as you do feel the breath move through you body.
- Become aware of any feelings or sensations.
- Start at your feet, send the breath down through your body, working your way up your body.
- Notice how your body responds to any emotions, notice how the energy feels in each area. If you feel tightness, envision the area softening.
- Finish by scanning head and face, loosening your jaw, soften any tension in your face. .
